Dr. C. V. Raman College of Science stands as an excellent example of progressive ideas, driving force, individual initiatives, private philanthropy and public support.
The college which runs under the Van Vaibhav Shikshan Mandal, Aheri was established in the year 2006 in Sironcha, one of the most backward Village of the Dist:-Gadchiroli.
The Founder – Chairman of the College Sri .Abdul Hakim Abdul Rahim a well know philanthropist of this territory, is a man of vision and mission. It is by his untiring effort, the College has blossomed in to a centre of higher education in rural area.
The mission of the college is to impart a liberal, modern, sound and quality education, both in Humanities and Science to students from rural background and poorest strata of the society at an affordable cost.
The College is affiliated to Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, Maharashtra.
The campus with magnificent buildings, beautiful landscapes, lush green lawns, provides a serene atmosphere contusive for studies.
